Construction of the Hydrogen Office gets underway

14 January 2008

Groundwork has started on the Hydrogen Office site at Methil docks in Fife. The construction phase will continue throughout the year in order for the Hydrogen Office to open its doors this autumn. The energy efficient office building will include features such as increased insulation and glazing to minimise heat loss and unwanted heat gain, efficient LED lighting and control systems, a ground source heat pump (also recovering waste heat from the fuel cell and electrolysis unit to provide most of the heating and hot water for the building) and a layout that maximises natural daylight to minimise the need for artificial lighting.
